The right Samsung phone for you will depend on your needs and budget.

If you’re looking for something high-end, the Samsung Galaxy S25 and others from this series are a good choice. More capable camera setups and a longer-lasting battery, plus the most powerful processors currently available, mean you’ll enjoy an enhanced experience with your smartphone.

However, if you’re after a more affordable Samsung phone that still offers great features, something like the S25 FE or even an A-Series handset might be more to your liking. And let’s not forget the compact Z Series foldable handsets for added security and convenience when carrying your Samsung around all day.

Given that there are so many Samsung handsets currently available, you’d be wise to see how your favourites stack up against each other. Make sure you compare Samsung phones with us for a clearer picture of what your next device could look like.

Samsung vs Apple phones

As two of the most popular mobile operating systems in the world, it’s perhaps unsurprising that Samsung would use Android as its OS, while Apple uses its own iOS software in iPhones.

There are some key differences between these manufacturer systems:

OS feature
Comparison
User experience
Android is highly customisable, with widgets and launchers, whereas Apple’s iOS has a clean, uniform design that doesn’t allow for much customisation across the iPhone interface
Apps
For Android phones, you can get apps from the Google Play Store and alternative sources. But Apple iPhones are limited to just the Apple App Store. Also, Android phones let you change most default apps to suit your needs, whereas iPhones aren’t as flexible
Price points
Android devices range from budget to premium pricing, whereas Apple iPhones are mostly premium-priced
Updates
Updating Android on Samsung smartphones varies by device model. Meanwhile, Apple iPhones receive consistent updates for over 5 years
File management
Apple iPhones have a restrictive file management system, whereas Android has an open one with folder access
Customisation
While Android devices tend to offer personalised features, Apple iPhones are limited to wallpapers and widgets

While Android on Samsung offers more customisation, flexibility, and affordability, Apple iPhones have iOS, which provides more stability, simplicity and ease of use.
